diffability: we all have different abilities!
Providing education and training on issues relating to disability and accessibility.
Our Needs Assessments identify the accessibility needs of individual clients as per their policies, procedures and practices, in conjunction with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, (AODA) and the standards within the act. The needs assessments assist businesses in the identification of barriers to accessibility within their establishment(s), while the accessibility assessments (described below) focus on making recommendations regarding the removal of barriers and the prevention of new barriers for people with disabilities.
Assessments are conducted using the Ontario Building Code as well as the Canadian Standards Association - Barrier Free Design requirements. Our team also consults the AODA's Final Proposed Accessible Built Environment Standard regarding future requirements. Through our accessibility assessments, our team will review your premises and processes and identify architectural, information and communicational barriers.
These assessments will assist your business in becoming fully accessible to persons with disabilities so they too, can enjoy the products and services you have to offer.
Organizations who wish to have an evaluation of current documentation in relation to legislative requirements can utilize our expertise to complete an assessment. We will provide a report regarding your organizations needs in order to meet the requirements of any legislated standard within the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act or we can develop the required policies for you.
